DEEP BLUE

Deep Blue, 2003, a natural history documentary film, is the theatrical version of the 2001 series The Blue Planet. An ambitious exploration into the world’s oceans, from shallow reefs to the frozen shores of the Antarctic, the film features footage of weird and wonderful sea creatures, captured for the first time ever, on film.

Deep Blue was developed as a theatrical rendition of the series specifically for the Proms in 2002, with a specifically commission score written by composer George Fenton.
